Putin e la maledizione di Costantino

Sulla copertina di Robinson, in edicola oggi con Repubblica, Paolo Rumiz ci accompagna in un viaggio nel mistero di Vladimir Putin, l’uomo che ha deciso l’aggressione russa all’Ucraina e che tiene in scacco l’Occidente, attraverso le istantanee degli ultimi trent’anni e più. Cosa ci dicono quelle immagini? Rumiz le scorre per noi: dalla foto anni Ottanta del tesserino personale del Kgb, agli incontri con il patriarca di Mosca Kirill, agli scatti nel Cremlino, che anno dopo anno raccontano “di un autocrate inavvicinabile e blindato in un potere assoluto” che con la sua figura personifica “il tragico isolamento della Russia”. Nicola Lo Calzo, fotografo torinese di 43 anni, gli ultimi quindici dei quali vissuti in Francia, racconta a Lucio Luca il suo Binidittu, il progetto per immagini sull’emigrazione che presenterà al festival di Fotografia Europea di Reggio Emilia in programma dal 29 aprile al 12 giugno. E nelle nostre pagine, oltre alle segnalazioni delle manifestazioni in programma in tutta Italia, trova spazio anche Immaginaria, la rassegna di cinema indipendente dedicata al mondo lesbico e femminista, a Roma fino a lunedì 25 aprile.

Un unico luogo, Venezia, dove in questi giorni si apre la Biennale, e tre progetti tra i tanti che in questa primavera la rendono la capitale dell’arte: la grande mostra alla Peggy Guggenheim Collection dedicata alle grandi esponenti del Surrealismo; il Padiglione Italia all’Arsenale, curato da Eugenio Viola e dedicato al “solo show” di Gian Maria Tosatti; la videoinstallazione dei Masbedo, nella mostra Penumbra della Fondazione In Between Art Film di Beatrice Bulgari, dedicata a Pantelleria: la ricostruzione di un episodio poco noto della Seconda guerra mondiale che mostra come conflitto e fake news siano da sempre legati a doppio filo.

Libri per ragazze e ragazzi

Cosa c’è di più bello del sorriso o della risata di un bambino? Parte da qui il racconto di André Bouchard, umorista, vignettista, illustratore francese, scritto in esclusiva per Robinson: una riflessione sulla sua “bottega” di autore di libri scoppiettanti per i più piccoli – l’ultimo, con protagonista un leone, esce ora in Italia – e un inno al valore del divertimento e dell’ironia. È rigorosamente made in Italy, invece, la nostra seconda proposta per le pagine dedicate a ragazze e ragazzi: un romanzo di Enrico Galiano, divo social e romanziere bestseller di storie adolescenziali, che stavolta – come ci spiega Ilaria Zaffino – si rivolge a un target di età inferiore, narrando le avventure di una banda di giovanissimi a caccia di…parole perdute.

Torino, primi anni 80. Un gruppo di ragazzi si incontra e si mette a suonare. Decidono di chiamarsi Negazione, nome potente per una band che diventerà una delle più importanti del punk italiano. Tra loro, al basso c’è Marco Mathieu, che nella vita futura sceglierà di diventare giornalista. Lo farà per raccontare ancora meglio il mondo che, grazie ai tour con la band, ha visitato in lungo e in largo, e sceglierà Repubblica. In questi giorni esce un libro importante: si intitola Collezione di attimi ed evoca la storia dei Negazione con immagini, diari, testi, fotografie. Un volume, spiega Luca Valtorta che l’ha letto per noi, capace di tramandare una lezione anche alle nuove generazioni. Perché i Negazione e il punk hanno significato una cosa più di tutto: libertà.

Alla Resistenza delle donne è dedicato lo spazio dei Fumetti di questa settimana. Protagonista è un graphic novel che segue la formazione spirituale di una contadina del Nord Italia, partigiana per necessità e non per ideale. Si intitola La Rosa armata ed è un libro peculiare, che unisce una storia inventata, ma condensato simbolico di molte esperienze realmente accadute, a disegni e colori dal taglio giapponese. Ne parlano l’illustratrice Elisa Menini, nota per i suoi albi sulle leggende del Sol Levante, e la scrittrice Costanza Durante, intervistate da Gabriele Di Donfrancesco. Le due autrici inaugurano “Cosmica”, nuova collana di fumetti di Minimum Fax.

Questa settimana, per Straparlando, Antonio Gnoli ha incontrato Piero Craveri. Nipote di Benedetto Croce, di cui oggi cura l’eredità intellettuale, considera Pannunzio, Valiani e Pannella i suoi riferimenti. Giurista e storico, ha studiato il percorso unitario, i successi e sconfitte dell’Italia dall’Ottocento a oggi. E del presente dice: “Restiamo un Paese fragile, piantato sulle palafitte”.

Nella nuova sfida letteraria ideata da Giorgio Dell’Arti e dedicata ai graphic novel italiani, arrivano le prime sorprese. E le prime eliminazioni di alcuni titoli dei “big”. Nelle ultime pagine di Robinson, il tabellone con i titoli in gara e le regole della fase di qualificazioni.

“Gli uomini sono andati in guerra per dimostrare di essere uomini di sesso maschile”, scriveva Luisa Muraro in un libro piccolo e straordinariamente denso, Dio è violent. La lettera finale mancante non è un refuso: la filosofa prese il titolo da un graffito su un muro di Lecce, dove qualcuno aveva cancellato l’identità di genere di Nostro Signore. Scatenando i pensieri femministi di Muraro sulla storia, la politica e la morale della violenza. Da un punto di vista che critica anche la nonviolenza di principio: per Muraro, la violenza può essere usata (nella misura del sale in cucine: “quanto basta per combattere senza odiare, quanto basta per disfare senza distruggere”), soprattutto bisogna evitare di delegarla tutta a qualche monopolio, compreso quello dello Stato, che se n’è appropriato con la invenzione del contratto sociale. Ma “c’è una violenza nelle cose e fra i viventi che prelude a un ritorno della legge del più forte: dobbiamo pensarci”. Chi può pensarci meglio di quelle che la violenza patriarcale naturalizzata nella storia hanno sempre subìto? “In pratica, voglio dire che tocca alle donne riformulare la questione della violenza e sollevarla pubblicamente con la radicalità che oggi si impone. Le donne sono in posizione per sapere tutta la parte di frode che c’è nel racconto moderno del contratto sociale e nel principio del monopolio statale della violenza”.
